Rhashidah Perry-Jones is an award-winning writer and communications strategist. She an executive at a large managed-care organization and former vice president and chief communications officer of a human services organization providing emergency and permanent supportive services and housing to individuals and families experiencing homelessness in Philadelphia. Through her firm RPJ Global Enterprise, Rhashidah and her team design integrated communications and engagement strategies to help businesses and nonprofits deepen client relationships and connect with diverse communities. And through Lit Coaching, Rhashidah helps individuals and families create the lives they want through personal development, and parent education, training, and coaching with a focus on providing strategies for family members raising children with ADHD.

Prior to working with the human services agency, Rhashidah was the communications lead on a multi-billion-dollar transportation infrastructure project, was executive director for a nonprofit crime reduction initiative, and was director of internal communications and government relations for a regional performing arts center. She is also a parenting educator and accomplished jewelry designer.

 

 

 

Rhashidah graduated with honors from Lincoln University where she received a Bachelor of Arts Degree and studied abroad in Russia and in Taiwan. Rhashidah earned a Master of Public Administration from Temple University where she received the second highest score on the comprehensive examinations in public administration in her graduating class and completed post-graduate work in African American studies (ABD and one year of coursework). Rhashidah is a graduate of the Greater Philadelphia Leadership Exchange, the AFL-CIO Organizing Institute, and the Urban League of Philadelphia Leadership Institute. She is the founding coordinator of Philadelphia Children and Adults with Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (PhillyCHADD) and was elected to the National Board of Directors and the Chapter Advisory Board of CHADD. She is also a founder of the Philadelphia Black Public Relations Society and serves on the Board of Directors of the Homeless Advocacy Project. She is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., and served on the Executive Board of Jack and Jill of America, Inc., Philadelphia Chapter.
